A client in Chester Springs, PA, contacted our team to turn their large backyard into an enjoyable space where they can spend time. With plenty of land to work with, they wanted to install a pool to serve as the main element of their upgraded outdoor living area. Additionally, we complemented the pool with a sleek paver patio deck perfect for lounging by the water. With these features complete, the next step of this project was to install new landscape beds adorned with fresh mulch and plants! For the finishing touches, we added landscape lighting fixtures in the beds to enhance visibility and visual appeal, along with rocks around the paver pool deck to ensure proper drainage.

Our client wanted to maximize their spacious backyard by turning it into the ultimate hangout spot, with a new pool as the focal point. The pool was designed to suit their needs, boasting a rectangular shape and a built-in spa. In addition to that, we built a paver patio deck around the pool! We used large concrete paving stones that bring a sleek, modern feel while defining the pool space. This pool deck is perfect for lounging and enjoying time by the water!

Once the primary features were complete, our team moved forward with incorporating softscape elements around the pool area. We installed new landscape beds along the pool deck and the walkway leading to it, filling them with fresh, black mulch and various small, charming plants. The black mulch is a stark contrast to the pops of greenery, making the plantings stand out and giving the beds a finished look. We evenly spaced out the plants, from taller flowering shrubs to smaller flora and perfectly sculpted round shrubbery, to add depth and dimension to the space. This purposeful landscape design complements their new outdoor living space perfectly!

We install mulch 2-3 inches thick, as this depth is ideal for providing the intended health benefits to your plants without the risk of smothering them.

The last step of this extensive pool project was to add the finishing touches! We installed landscape lighting fixtures in the landscape beds around the pool deck and walkway to keep the space illuminated at night. That way, it extends use and enjoyment for our client, plus draws attention to these beautiful elements. What's more, we utilize low-voltage LEDs for our outdoor lighting, as they're energy-efficient, long-lasting, and durable!

Not only did we incorporate lighting, but we also installed rocks around the pool deck. The purpose of these rocks is to promote proper drainage, guiding water away like a dry creek bed to prevent runoff and pooling.
