When our client in Exton, PA, contacted us, they wanted to create easy access to the front entrance of their home from the driveway with a new walkway. So, we started with a consultation to discuss their goals and vision for how they wanted the walkway to turn out. They also wanted to incorporate a small patio area in the corner where they could have extended living space. Once we finished the design and they approved it, we moved forward with constructing the walkway from durable pavers, along with the integrated patio. Then, we finished off this project with some rock landscape beds and added seeds where the grass needed to grow back, which were covered with straw to protect them from the elements.
This paver walkway project started with a consultation to discuss our client's goals.
The first step of this paver walkway project was to have a consultation with our client. During this initial meeting, we discussed their goals, which were to connect their house's front entrance to the driveway, and their vision for how they wanted their walkway to look. We examined the different materials available and ultimately settled on pavers to ensure the durability and longevity of this feature. Additionally, they told us they wanted to expand their living space, so we collaborated with them to plan a small patio integrated into the walkway. Their budget and what they could expect throughout the project were also talked about to ensure there weren't any surprises along the way.
The Design & Installation of the Walkway Was the Next Step of This Project

After gathering all the necessary information during the consultation, we moved forward with the next step of this project: the design and installation of the walkway! We designed the walkway with flowing curves, incorporating the patio area into the corner so it extended the entire length of their house's front entrance. Once they approved the design, we got to work installing everything! Two different colored pavers were used to build it, with darker ones bordering around the edges of the walkway and the patio area to separate it. These pavers were also varied shapes, which we arranged in a unique pattern to enhance the overall look of these additions.
We finished this walkway project with rock landscape beds and seeds to grow back the grass.
Once our client's walkway was built, we added the finishing touches to this project! We installed a landscape bed between the side of their house and the start of the walkway, along with a small one around a lamp post. These beds were filled with a rock ground cover to upgrade their appearance. Additionally, we spread seeds where the grass was damaged during the construction process to grow it back, covering them with straw to protect them from the elements and any critters. That way, they had a better chance of successfully germinating. With everything complete, our client now has easy access to the front of their house from the driveway, plus a small patio space where they can sit and relax!
